Wanting to capitalise on the active northern deal market, Primary Capital – a leading provider of private equity finance for UK growth companies – decided to expand into a Manchester based regional office.
In late 2014, they enlisted the expertise of Spatial Environments to fitout their chosen office space in the beating heart of Manchester.
Primary Capital’s ambition was to provide their clients with a high impact experience. Their brief was to create a classy and luxurious yet functional working environment. They required a reception cum waiting area to receive any guests; a grand boardroom to hold their investment meetings; functional, high quality desking to work at; and an expensive kitchen worthy of their stature. Price was a secondary concern for Primary Capital and this was reflected with a relatively large budget being assigned to the small fit out project.
The office furniture and finishes put forward by Spatial were all chosen to create the high visual impact required. The majority of the budget was spent in the front of house on the reception and boardroom areas in order to create that initial high impact feeling for clients. Upon entering the office space, clients are greeted with elegant, full height, fully branded, single glazed partition walls which separate the boardroom from the reception area. To add to the elegance, the partition walls were fitted with full height, white oak veneered doors complete with vertical grain detailing which just exudes quality.
The reception area was purposefully left minimal, providing just a couple of high end chairs and a glass table to accommodate any waiting clients. The boardroom was fitted out with a beautiful Sven Christiansen light oak veneer table complete with bare oak cable management and matching credenza unit with integrated fridge. The boardroom table was accompanied with matching Sven Christiansen oak veneer chairs finished in a luxurious black leather.
Spatial designed the main office space to be open plan yet respectfully comfortable as a workspace. High quality Imperial bench desks were installed which were finished in oak mfc and completed with brand matching red fabric desk mounted screens and matching task seating.
Finally, a partition wall was erected to separate the main office from the kitchen and breakout area. The kitchen was fitted with luxury units, executive fridge and wine cooler, quality vinyl flooring and finished off with a custom glass sliding door for effect and for space efficiency.
Overall, a beautifully crafted office environment was created ready for Primary Capital to occupy and take Manchester by storm.
